The Cyprus Underwater Archaeology Fieldschool 2016 will take place between the 20th August and 3rd September 2016

The fieldschool was open to anyone interested in learning about underwater archaeology (no degree required / diving qualifications required below) with applications specifically encouraged from technical divers on Cyprus and from the Eastern Mediterranean region (including Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Egypt, Turkey) with scholarships (up to 90% of the fees) available to help support their attendance.

The 2016 fieldschool is being held on the Mazotos Wreck in 45m of water off the coast of Cape Kiti.  Participants will be contributing to genuine research on this important site, which is being studied by the University of Cyprus Maritime Archaeological Research Laboratory.
